What we collect, briefly
Your name and mobile number (the number is your account, verified by a one-time code), an email address only if you add one, your location while you are using the app, your trip and parcel records, messages you send a driver in the app, payment records, and basic device information. We take no card or bank details at all, because trips are paid in cash or from a Sura wallet balance. Drivers additionally submit their licence, ID and vehicle documents. The full list, field by field, is in the Privacy policy and the Data safety page.
Who can see your trip
The driver matched to your trip sees your first name, your pickup point and your destination, and can message or call you inside the app. Drivers never see your phone number, your email address or your payment details, and in-app calls route through our voice provider so neither side sees the other's number. Calls are never recorded. Sura staff can see operational records — trips, documents, financial entries — under access controls that are restricted by role and written to an audit log.
Turning off analytics
In the passenger app, Settings → Analytics sharing switches off app-usage analytics and crash reporting, and it takes effect immediately rather than at the next restart. The Sura Driver app does not collect usage analytics at all. Neither app collects an advertising ID, and we use no advertising networks and no data brokers, so there is nothing here to opt out of beyond that one switch.
Asking for your data, or a correction
Write to [email protected] from your registered email address, or include your registered phone number, and tell us what you want: a copy of what we hold, or a correction to something inaccurate. We confirm the request really comes from the account holder before acting on it, and we reply within 30 days. Some things you can fix yourself in the app in seconds — your name, your email, your saved places.
Removing some data without closing your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to get specific data removed. Email us and name it — a saved place, your profile photo, a document you uploaded. We remove what we can, and where something has to be kept we say so and why, rather than quietly ignoring that part of the request. Financial records are the usual example: the law requires them, so they stay, but with your name and number stripped off.
