Delete your Sura account

You can delete your Sura account and personal data at any time. There are three ways to do it — pick whichever you still have access to. You do not need the app installed to use this page. Your account is deactivated the moment you confirm, and permanently erased 30 days later; signing in during those 30 days cancels the deletion.

1. In the Sura app (fastest)

  1. Open the Sura app and go to Account.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Read what will be erased, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete my account.
  4. In the Sura Driver app the option is in Account settings, at the bottom of the page.

2. Here, signed in

If you have already uninstalled the app, sign in with your phone number and delete your account below. This works for passenger accounts; driver accounts must be deleted from the Sura Driver app or by email.

3. By email

If you cannot sign in at all, email [email protected]. Send it from the email address on your account, or include your registered phone number — we verify the request belongs to you before erasing anything, and complete it within 30 days.

Deleting only some of your data

You do not have to close your account to get specific data removed. Email us and say what you want deleted — a saved place, your profile photo, an uploaded document. We remove what we can, tell you plainly if something has to be kept and why, and reply within 30 days. [email protected]

What happens to your data

Erased immediately

  • Your name, phone number and email address
  • Your profile photo and saved places
  • Your trip and parcel history
  • Any scheduled rides
  • Your push-notification token
  • For drivers: licence and ID documents, vehicle details and verification history

Erased 30 days after you confirm. Until then your account is deactivated and recoverable — sign in and the deletion is cancelled.

Kept, without your identity

  • Records of completed payments and fares
  • Commission and payout records for drivers
  • Support tickets, with your name and number removed

Financial records are required by law and form an append-only ledger, so they cannot be deleted. They are kept without your name or phone number attached.

These records are kept only for as long as the law requires financial records to be kept, and only in a form that no longer identifies you — your name and phone number come off at the moment you delete, not at some later date.

How long it takes

Deactivation is immediate — in the app, on this page, the moment you confirm. Permanent erasure follows 30 days later, and signing in at any point in those 30 days cancels it. By email the request itself can take up to 30 days to process, nearly all of which is spent confirming the request really is yours.

Deleting your account does not refund a wallet balance or cancel money you owe. If either applies, settle it first — the app will tell you before it lets you continue.
